Karim Farrag

Psychiatrist at Amae Health

Dr. Karim Farrag is a psychiatrist for Amae Health. He completed his medical training at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and his masters in Neurobiology at Northwestern University. He is currently based out of UCLA and the affiliated VA, where he is the acute care chief with emphasis on inpatient/emergent psychiatric care, addiction, anxiety/depression, and trauma informed therapy.

Born and raised in L.A. to a practicing psychiatrist, Dr. Farrag was imbued early-on with a lifelong passion for medicine and the wonders of the mind. During his foray in New England for Medical School, he founded Dartmouth’s student psychiatry society and worked closely with the National Alliance on Mental Illness to create accessible programs for local patient/family outreach and education. Since returning to sunny California, he continues to advocate for excellence and accessibility in mental health care.
