Naama Kopelman

Director of Computational Protein Design at Amai Proteins

Naama Kopelman has a long and varied work experience. Naama began their career in 2002 as an Internet project leader for Basha'ar. Naama then moved to the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2002, where they worked as a researcher. In 2006, they joined Tel Aviv University as a postdoctoral researcher, research assistant, and teaching assistant. In 2011, they went to Stanford University as a research assistant. Naama then returned to Israel in 2009 to take up a position as a genetics lecturer at Seminar Hakibutzim. In 2015, they returned to the Weizmann Institute of Science as a biological computing researcher. In 2017, they joined the Holon Institute of Technology as a Senior Lecturer, Tel Aviv University's Department of Zoology as a research fellow, and Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering as a lecturer. In 2021, they began working as the Director of Computational Protein Design for Amai Proteins.

Naama Kopelman pursued their education in a variety of fields, beginning with a degree in science from Tel Aviv University between 1997 and 2001, focusing on Biology and Computer science. Naama then went on to earn an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from the Weizmann Institute of Science between 2003 and 2005. Finally, they completed their PhD in Population genetics and bioinformatics from Tel Aviv University in 2013.
