Katie M.

Katie M. currently serves as a Research Analyst at the Amalgamated Transit Union - Intl. Office since April 2023. Prior to this role, Katie worked as the Communications and Organizing Manager for the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) from June 2022 to March 2023, where responsibilities included researching and preparing statements on economic justice issues, coordinating stakeholder meetings, and creating newsletters and reports. Katie also spent a decade at AFSCME Council 3, initially as an Organizer and later as the Strategic Communications Director, overseeing communication strategies for a large union. Katie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Grinnell College, completed in 2012.
