Karla Boland

Karla Boland, MSc, PMP, serves as the Global Medical Affairs Project Manager at Amarin Corporation since April 2023. Previously, Karla worked at Novartis as a Senior Client Services Manager in Medical Communications, where responsibilities included managing the Gene Therapy drug Luxturna and overseeing scientific projects. Karla's experience at ICON plc encompasses various project management roles, including Project Manager II, where management of interdisciplinary clinical research programs and sponsor interactions with top pharmaceutical companies occurred. Additional roles include experience at Marks and Spencer in sales, and research positions at the Biomedical Diagnostics Institute, contributing to mobile diagnostics and biomarker research, as well as laboratory assistance at Rotunda Hospital.
