Petra Toscano

Petra Toscano has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Petra is currently the Commercial Director for Switzerland at Amarin Corporation as of January 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at Amgen, including Business Unit Head Oncology, Brand Lead and Sales Manager Inflammation, and National Sales Manager General Medicine from 2020 to 2022. Before joining Amgen, they worked at MSD Switzerland as an Associate Director, Lead Commercial Operations and Customer Solutions Manager in different therapeutic areas from 2011 to 2020. From 2006 to 2010, they worked at Essex Chemie Schering-Plough as a Senior Product Manager and Product Manager. Petra'scareer began at Eli Lilly and Company as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and Marketing Associate from 2003 to 2006. Petra started their professional journey at Caterpillar Inc. as a Marketing and Pricing Associate in 2000.

Petra Toscano holds a lic.oec.HSG degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Vertiefung KMU from the University of St.Gallen, which they completed from 1997 to 2002. In 2015, they attended the ZHAW School of Management and Law where they studied Medical Science for non-medical professionals, obtaining a degree in IM. Additionally, Petra participated in an exchange program at Queen's University from 2000 to 2001, focusing on Wirtschaftswissenschaften.
