Chief Information Officer at A-Mark

Armik Zakian is the current Chief Information Officer at A-Mark Precious Metals. Prior to their current position, Armik served as the VP, CDO Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics & Big Data for AT&T from January 2005 to December 2018. In this role, Armik provided vision, strategy, and direction for BI and Big Data Ecosystems guided by six performance principles; know the customer, execute efficiently, architect for agility, focus on value, innovate, and build a team. Armik also led all aspects of BI and Big Data activities including developing and maintaining multi-year strategic plans and roadmaps, including enterprise-wide data warehousing, reporting, and analytics functions.

During their time at AT&T, Armik partnered with business organizations and groups within IT to design, develop, implement, and support solutions that delivered the best insights and decision-making solutions for business operations and strategy. Armik also developed integrated and unified data platforms within BI that were leveraged by all DIRECTV organizations, providing multiple views of the same trusted data (Business Self-Service Model). In addition, Armik spearheaded cost effective BI Delivery Model (onshore/offshore) to bring in needed skills and bandwidth.

Armik’s experience and success in the BI and Big Data field has led him to their current position as Chief Information Officer at A-Mark Precious Metals where they are responsible for leading the company’s information technology strategy.

Armik Zakian has a degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Polytechnic University of Armenia. Armik also has a certification from LinkedIn in Cloud Architecture: Advanced Concepts.

Armik Zakian reports to Gregory N. Roberts, CEO. They are on a team with David W. G. Madge - Chief Marketing Officer, Thor G. Gjerdrum - President, and Brian Aquilino - Chief Operating Officer.
