Tia Hamid

Tia Hamid, MA, SPHR, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in talent management and organizational effectiveness. Currently serving as the Director of Global Operations PXT Academy at Amazon since July 2016, Tia has successfully built and led a team of 80 professionals supporting the WW Amazon Stores business, the largest division within Amazon. Tia's previous roles include Head of Talent Management for Core Consumer, overseeing a workforce of approximately 66,000 employees across 38 countries, and Head of HR for the Amazon Marketplace Business. Prior experience includes senior roles at Bank of America, where Tia functioned as Senior Vice President of Learning & Leadership Development, and at Carolinas Healthcare System, where Tia served as Head of Organizational Development. Tia holds a BA in Psychology and Exercise & Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
