Damon Baker

Director. Systems Engineering at Amber Solutions

Damon Baker has worked in the engineering and systems engineering fields since 1988. Damon began their career as an Engineering Specialist at Bendix Field Engineering Corp. In 1990, they moved to Space Computer Corporation as a Senior Research Technician, where they were a member of a hardware development team that developed the SCC-100. In 1991, they joined Hughes Aircraft Company as a Technical Staff Member, where they supported operations in the satellite test and integration High Bay. In 1995, they became a Senior Systems Engineer at ISI (Integrated Systems Inc.), where they developed embedded software for real time satellite telemetry simulators and designed PCBs for use in the IC manufacturing industry. In 1997, they joined Octant Technologies as a Staff Engineer, where they lead hardware engineer and designed hardware and embedded software development for equipment to test micro-satellites. In 2010, they moved to Space Systems Loral as an Electrical Design Engineer, where they designed several custom circuit boards and rack mount panels for satellite SW/HW test equipment. Finally, in 2017, they joined Amber Solutions Inc. as Director of Systems Engineering, where they helped bring a new standard to smart home and building infrastructure.

Damon Baker attended DeVry Institute of Technology, City of Industry from 1985 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology (BSEET).
