Cassandra Shaffer, Ph.D. has held various roles in the scientific field since 2015. Cassandra began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Youngstown State University in 2015. In 2016, they were an iREU Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Technische Universität Graz. From 2017 to 2022, they held multiple roles at the University of Notre Dame, including Lab Safety Officer, Graduate Student Research Assistant, Organic Structural Elucidation Teaching Assistant, Organic Chemistry Lecture Teaching Assistant, and Organic Chemistry Lab Teaching Assistant. In 2022, they began as a Staff Scientist at Ambient Photonics.

Cassandra Shaffer, Ph.D. received their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Youngstown State University in 2017, after completing their studies in 2013. Cassandra then went on to receive their Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame in 2022.
