Tom Archer

Tom has 15 years of experience working in academia. His focus has been on applying data science and machine learning to design new materials. He designed and implemented a system to automate the calculation of material properties from ab initio quantum mechanics, allowing the use of machine learning techniques to be used to guide material discovery. He has used these tools to secure both industrial and EU funding.

Tom works closely with the hardware and data analytics team to secure and deliver on funding opportunities.
