Birnur Özbaş-Erdem

Birnur Özbaş-Erdem has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, they joined Ambit Inc. in 2022 as the Head of Analytics and Data Products, where they aim to develop innovative platforms and services to redefine the rare disease ecosystem and life sciences. Prior to this, Birnur worked at Charles River Associates from 2017 to 2022, starting as an Associate Principal before being promoted to Principal. Birnur also has experience at C1 Consulting as a Manager from 2015 to 2017 and as a Senior Consultant from 2013 to 2015.

Before transitioning into the consulting field, Birnur worked as the Program Manager of Laboratory for Port Security at Rutgers University from 2012 to 2013. In this role, they conducted various analyses and research projects related to risk analysis, logistics, and correlations between hurricane damages and local characteristics.

Birnur Özbaş-Erdem has a strong educational background in the field of Industrial Engineering. Birnur completed their Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering Department at Yeditepe University from 1998 to 2003, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. Birnur then pursued further studies at Boğaziçi University, where they obtained their Master's degree in the Industrial Engineering Department from 2003 to 2005. Birnur later continued their academic journey at Boğaziçi University, completing their Ph.D. in the Industrial Engineering Department from 2005 to 2010.
