Gaetano 'Nino' Faleo has extensive work experience in the field of science. Gaetano ‘Nino’ began their career in 2010 as an Assistant Researcher at UCSF, where they also served as a Research Specialist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 2019, they joined Ambys Medicines as a Senior Scientist II and was later promoted to Senior Scientist.

Gaetano 'Nino' Faleo completed their Master's Degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna in 2003. Gaetano ‘Nino’ then completed a Master Thesis in Toxicology at INRA Jouy-en-Josas in 2002-2003. In 2004-2007, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organ Transplantation at Università degli Studi di Foggia. Gaetano ‘Nino’ then spent a year as a Visiting Scholar in Organ Transplantation at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006-2007. Finally, they were a Postdoctoral research fellow in Pancreatic Islet Transplantation at the University of Miami from 2007-2010.
