Jordan Backman

Jordan Backman currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at AMC Networks, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this, Jordan Backman was with Sony Corporation of America for nearly 19 years, where the role included Vice President, Senior Counsel and Co-Head of Human Resources. In this capacity, Jordan Backman oversaw a team of 22 HR professionals and managed a specialized team focusing on total rewards and immigration needs. An international assignment in Tokyo as Senior Counsel involved participation in a global pension project for Sony Corporation. Earlier career experiences include positions at PepsiCo and Proskauer Rose LLP. Educational achievements include a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Math and French from the University of Virginia.
