Francesco Bassoli

Francesco Bassoli has a strong career history in procurement and supply chain management. Francesco currently holds the position of Vice President - Global Procurement at Amcor since 2021. Prior to this, they worked for Alcoa for a significant portion of their career. At Alcoa, they held various roles including Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer, Vice President - Global Shared Services, Vice President - Metal Sales & Marketing, Procurement Global Director, and European Commodity Manager. In these roles, they successfully led large teams, implemented process improvements, and focused on sustainability and productivity gains. Francesco also gained experience in sales, planning, risk management, and transportation within the metal industry. Before joining Alcoa, they worked as a production manager at eni from 1995 to 1999.

Francesco Bassoli completed an Engineer's degree in Chemical Engineering at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. Francesco also attended IMD for Leading Digital Business Transformation and Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business for Executive Finance, both in 2018.
