Shawn Miller

Shawn Miller serves as the Program Director at the American Academy in Rome since June 2006, leading the annual Rome Prize fellowship competition and coordinating various programs, including the Invitational Residency, Affiliated Fellowships, Summer Programs, and public events. Prior to this role, Shawn worked as a Senior Program Officer at the New York Foundation for the Arts from June 2001 to June 2006, focusing on the development and management of statewide grant and public exchange programs for individual artists. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Curator at the Museum of the Moving Image from May 1997 to June 2001, where responsibilities involved organizing the museum's collection and managing group tours and events. Shawn holds a degree from Ohio University, completed between 1989 and 1993.
