David Castillo

David Castillo is an experienced research specialist with a focus on evidence-based research in dermatology. Since January 2017, David has worked at the American Academy of Dermatology, where responsibilities include extracting data and developing evidence tables for clinical guideline updates. Prior to this role, David served as a research assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago from February 2015 to January 2017, engaging in various research projects including bioacoustic monitoring for frog calls, arthropod identification from soil samples across Indiana and Chicago, and conducting a meta-analysis for chronic anal fissures in a Cochrane Review. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago, earned in 2016.
