Bellinda Schoof has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Bellinda served as the Vice President of Health of the Public and Science Division at the American Academy of Family Physicians starting from April 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Clinical Policies Manager at the same organization since 1998. In 2013, they became the Division Director for Health of the Public and Science at AAFP. Bellinda'sprevious experience includes being the Quality Improvement Director at the Kansas Foundation for Medical Care from 1995 to 1998 and serving as the Surgical Administrative Officer at Roudebush VAMC from 1992 to 1995. Bellinda also worked as a Research Associate at Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs between 1988 and 1994.

Bellinda Schoof pursued their education at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Bellinda completed their Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with a focus on Research, from 1988 to 1991. Following that, they went on to obtain their Masters in Health Administration, specializing in Health Administration and Research from 1991 to 1994. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Bellinda also obtained the Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality in January 1997 and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society for Association Executive in December 2018.
