Josh Brunty

Josh Brunty is a highly experienced professional in cybersecurity and digital forensics, currently serving as the Head Coach for the US Cyber Team within the US Cyber Games program. With tenure at Marshall University since May 2008, Josh Brunty has held multiple roles, including Research Lead for the Institute of Cyber Security, tenured Associate Professor of Cyber Forensics & Cybersecurity, and Graduate Program Director for the Master of Science in Cyber Forensics & Security Program. Additionally, Josh Brunty has been involved with the National Institute of Standards and Technology as Executive Secretary and member of the Digital Evidence Subcommittee, and serves as a Commissioner for the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission. Previous roles include Digital Forensics Analyst for the State of West Virginia and Asset Protection Investigator for Sears Holdings Corporation. Josh Brunty holds a Doctor of Science in Information Technology, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice & Criminology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice & Criminology.
