Ed Etter

Vice President - Academic & Program Chair at American Accounting Association

Ed Etter serves as the Vice President and Academic & Program Chair for the Midwest Region of the American Accounting Association since October 2010, also participating as a member of the Steering Committee. In addition, Ed is a Board Member-at-Large for the Lansing Chapter of the Association of Fraud Examiners and a member of the Board of Governors for the Detroit Chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors. Ed has held an academic position as an Associate Professor of Accounting at Eastern Michigan University since August 2002 and previously served in various teaching roles at the University of South Florida, Syracuse University, The Ohio State University - Mansfield Campus, and the College of the Virgin Islands. Early career experience includes auditing roles at Monsanto Company and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Ed holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from The Ohio State University, alongside a Master of Accounting Science and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
