Prior roles at American Airlines include Managing Director of Division Finance, overseeing financial operations across more than 300 airports and the global Cargo business, and Managing Director of Financial Analysis, where significant contributions were made to labor contract strategies and agreements. Richard's career in finance began at US Airways in various positions, culminating as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and also includes experience at Apollo Group and Mervyns. Richard holds an MBA with a Finance emphasis from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
