Marlowe Tessmer, PhD has a diverse work experience in various roles. In 1992, they worked at NCR Corporation as an Account Manager, where they were the primary customer contact, managed equipment installation projects, and organized accounts payable. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston University School of Medicine and later at Merck Research Labs. In these positions, they conducted research in their field of expertise. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Senior/Scientific Editor at JEM, RUPress. In 2012, they joined Rockefeller University Press as an Executive Editor for the Journal of Experimental Medicine, a position they held until 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Editor for Clinical Cancer Research at the American Association for Cancer Research. In this role, they oversee the peer-review process, acquires content, and ensures the publication of high-quality articles.

Marlowe Tessmer, PhD, has an extensive education history that includes both academic degrees and additional certifications. Marlowe received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from Northwestern University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology from Brown University, completing their studies between 2002 and 2007. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Marlowe attended Milton Academy from 1982 to 1988.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Marlowe also obtained two certifications. In 1997, they completed The Professional Chef's Program at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. Furthermore, in April 2016, they obtained a certification in Management Development from the ILR School at Cornell University.
