Daniel Hinkle is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Counsel for Policy and State Affairs at the American Association for Justice since June 2015. In this role, Daniel provides legal, legislative, and policy research and analysis, collaborates with state associates, delivers CLE presentations, and supports federal advocacy efforts while testifying before Congress and state legislatures. Previous experience includes working as an Associate at Brown & James, P.C., where responsibilities involved drafting legal documents and advising clients on complex litigation matters, and serving as an Attorney Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, where Daniel represented the institution on various legal issues. Daniel was also Editor in Chief of the Washington University Jurisprudence Review, a prominent academic journal. Daniel holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Psychology from The University of the South.
