Shelley Hanson MA, LPC, LMFT has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of counseling and therapy. Shelley has held various leadership positions in professional organizations, including serving as the Past President of AAMFT and President of Oregon Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Shelley has also been an Adjunct Faculty Member at George Fox University, where they taught for several years. Additionally, they have their own private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in areas such as attachment, relationship health, anxiety, depression, and family issues. Shelley's expertise extends to working with individuals, couples, and families, addressing concerns related to postpartum depression, faith issues, and self-identity formation.

Shelley Hanson MA, LPC, LMFT completed their Bachelor's degree in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services at Warner Pacific University. Shelley then pursued their MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at George Fox University from 2002 to 2004.

In terms of additional certifications, Shelley obtained a Clinical Fellow certification from the American Association for Marriage & Therapy Inc in April 2007. Shelley also received an AAMFT Approved Supervisor certification from the same institution in October 2011. Shelley has further certifications as a Couples Communication Skills Trainer from Interpersonal Communications, and in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). In addition, Shelley holds a certification as an Interpersonal Communication Skills Trainer from Interpersonal Communication.
