Tammy Reichelt has extensive experience working in various roles in the field of higher education. Tammy began their career as an Enrollment Specialist at Southeastern Community College, where they were responsible for admissions, financial aid, and career counseling. Tammy then moved on to work as a Graduate Recruitment administrator at St. Ambrose University, collaborating with academic deans and developing enrollment management plans.
Reichelt also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University. In this role, they coordinated and facilitated self-assessment projects related to programs and services in higher education. Tammy also managed the Community Colleges for International Development project, training and supervising undergraduate students.
At The University of Texas at Austin, Reichelt worked as a coordinator for survey administration at the Center for Community College Student Engagement. Tammy analyzed quantitative and qualitative data to support the center's projects and helped create benchmark modules for survey instruments.
Reichelt then transitioned to Harper College as an intern, where they focused on academic program review and evaluation of student success initiatives. Tammy later worked at the Texas Success Center as a Special Projects Intern, supporting the planning and organizing of the Pathways to Progress Institute.
Currently, Reichelt holds a position at the American Association of Community Colleges as Chief of Staff. Tammy previously served as the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, Director of Professional Development & Student Success, and Senior Program Associate. Tammy'sresponsibilities in these roles included overseeing academic affairs, coordinating professional development programs, and providing administrative support.
Tammy Reichelt earned an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Southeastern Community College between 1999 and 2001. Tammy then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Western Illinois University from 2001 to 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from St. Ambrose University between 2006 and 2008. Finally, Tammy completed their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Higher Education/Education Leadership & Policy Studies from Iowa State University from 2011 to 2014.
