Emily Frisan

Emily Frisan is a digital marketing coordinator at the American Association of Geographers, a position held since May 2023, following a scholar internship at the American Geographical Society earlier in 2023. Emily's experience includes creating social media content, drafting newsletter write-ups, and conducting interviews while utilizing design skills. Past roles include student communications and marketing at The George Washington University, aquatic supervisor and lifeguard at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, visitor experience associate at California Botanic Garden, project intern at NOAA, and senior lifeguard for the City of Buena Park. Emily holds a Master of Science in Geography from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Studies with a minor in Multimedia Journalism and Communication from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
