Ren Jye Yu

Ren Jye Yu has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as Director, Systems Operations at AAIS (American Association of Insurance Services) from 2022 to the present. Prior to that, they worked at AMD for over a decade, starting in 2010 as a Senior IT Manager. In this role, they managed a team of over 70 members, oversaw global 24/7 operations, and managed a multimillion-dollar annual budget. Ren Jye played a key role in implementing a hybrid cloud strategy, virtualizing on-premise databases, and achieving cost savings through re-negotiating agreements with major software vendors. Additionally, they deployed Citrix for virtual desktop access and developed an advanced analytics and machine learning platform.

Before joining AMD, Ren Jye Yu worked at Dell from 1999 to 2010. Ren Jye held roles ranging from Data Warehouse Architect to Lead Database Administrator. In this position, they oversaw a team of four analysts, built data warehouse architecture, optimized database technology, and designed data models. Ren Jye implemented a platform workload management strategy, improved productivity for SAS analysts, and delivered ETL and BI integration frameworks for dual Teradata systems.

Ren Jye Yu has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University. They also hold a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University.
