Robert Harbaugh

Past President at American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS)

Robert Harbaugh has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, holding various roles throughout their career. Robert currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Penn State Health Academic Practices since 2018. Prior to that, they were the Director of the Neuroscience Institute at Penn State University. Robert has also held positions at the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality, the National Academy of Medicine, the United States Food and Drug Administration, and the NeuroPoint Alliance. Additionally, they have held leadership roles in professional organizations such as the Society of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Robert Harbaugh attended Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine from 1974 to 1978. During this period, they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine.
