Warren Hein

Warren Hein has an extensive career in physics education and administration, currently serving as Executive Officer Emeritus at the American Association of Physics Teachers since January 1997. Previously, Warren Hein held the position of Executive Officer at the AAPT and served as Adjunct Professor of Physics at Kettering University from July 2011 to November 2019, teaching a range of undergraduate physics courses. As a Program Officer at the National Science Foundation from September 2007 to August 2008, Warren Hein contributed to the Division of Undergraduate Education. Earlier in the career, Warren Hein was Professor and Head of the Department of Physics at South Dakota State University from 1979 to 1997, and served as Professor of Physics at Northern State University from 1970 to 1979. Warren Hein earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
