Benjamin Cassese

Benjamin Cassese currently serves as a Media Fellow at the American Astronomical Society since 2022 while pursuing a PhD in Astronomy at Columbia University, where also holds an MPhil and an MA in Astronomy. Prior experience includes roles as a Post-Bacc Researcher at Caltech, a State Legislature Intern for the State of Rhode Island, and a Geosciences Intern at ExxonMobil. Benjamin's academic journey includes substantial research and teaching experience at Caltech as both an Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant. Additional noteworthy experience includes an internship with the National Academy of Sciences focused on space policy. Benjamin holds a Bachelor's degree in Planetary Science and History from Caltech and completed secondary education at Moses Brown School.
