Hua Liu

Hua Liu currently serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the American Astronomical Society, a position held since March 2018. Prior to this role, Hua held various communication-related positions including Communications and Social Media Manager at The Structured Finance Industry Group, Inc. from February 2016 to February 2018, and worked at The Wilson Center as a member of the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States from March 2014 to January 2016. Additional experience includes serving as Web and Digital Coordinator at Voice of America, overseeing digital strategies and social media content from September 2009 to August 2013, and as a Communications & Program Associate at Asia Society. Hua's earlier roles include a research internship at the Center for the National Interest and a PR internship at Crosby-Volmer International Communications. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago and a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University, along with Bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and International Finance from Wuhan University.
