Joshua Chau

Joshua Chau is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in advising, instruction, and intern roles. Currently serving as a Peer Advisor at the UMD College of Behavioral and Social Sciences since December 2021, Joshua communicates with visitors and assists students with academic inquiries while managing student records using Excel and Salesforce. As a Martial Arts Instructor at Columbia Association since December 2017, Joshua teaches Taekwondo and supervises junior instructors. Recent internships include work with the U.S. House of Representatives, where research on House members was conducted, and at the Naval Sea Systems Command, where personnel security compliance was ensured. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government & Politics and History from the University of Maryland, expected in May 2025, with a high school diploma from Oakland Mills High School.
