Jameka Hodnett

Afro-futurist Fellow at American Bird Conservancy

Jameka Hodnett is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in climate justice and advocacy. Currently serving as an Afro-Futurist Fellow at American Bird Conservancy and Chief Program Officer for The Chisholm Legacy Project, Jameka is focused on engaging and supporting over 41 million Black individuals across the U.S. Previous roles include Senior Advisor at Rise to Thrive, Local Climate Action Policy Fellow at Elemental Impact, and National Director of Campaigns & Legislative Advocacy at Dream.Org. Jameka has also held positions with the Energy Foundation, Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy, and ACLU, emphasizing equitable grant-making, legal research on climate issues, and organizational development. Jameka holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Trinity Washington University and a certificate in Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Research.
