Miray Seward

Miray Seward, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation at the American Camp Association, following a role as a Research Scientist at Search Institute. Prior experience includes an Editorial Assistant position at the Journal of Adolescent Research and a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Virginia, where significant contributions included leading research on the experiences of Black youth, serving as Primary Investigator on projects involving Black women student athletes, and co-authoring multiple manuscripts. Miray Seward has presented research at numerous conferences and has extensive experience in managing and supervising research projects, including life skill development studies at summer camps. Earlier roles in lab management at Duke University involved conducting behavioral studies on language development and coordinating cross-cultural research projects. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Duke University and a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia.
