Tommy Coates

Tommy Coates currently serves as the Director of Technology Infrastructure at American Campus Communities since November 2025. Previous experience includes a tenure at the Texas Department of Transportation from October 2021 to November 2025, where Tommy held the positions of Infrastructure Branch Manager (Director III) and Infrastructure Supervisor. Prior roles also encompass several managerial positions at TTEC and Texas Association of Counties, along with a progression of systems administrator roles at Infinitech Cloud Computing Services, Port Arthur ISD, Discovery Information Technologies, and Goldstar EMS. Tommy Coates earned an Associate of Science in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Lamar Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Western Governors University.
