Erika Rees-Punia, PhD, serves as a Senior Principal Scientist at the American Cancer Society since May 2017. Concurrently, Erika holds the position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Georgia, where involvement began in January 2023. Erika has a rich background in research and academic roles, including Principal Scientist, Postdoctoral Fellow, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia from 2014 to 2018. Additional experience includes an internship at the National Cancer Institute and an ORISE Fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Erika holds a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia, an MPH in Environmental Health from Emory University, and a BS in Exercise Science and Chemistry from North Park University.
