Zahra Koussan

Zahra Koussan, BASW, MPH, currently serves as Manager of Cancer Support Strategic Partnerships and previously held the position of Associate Director of Community Partnerships at the American Cancer Society since June 2021. Prior to this, Zahra worked as a Community Health Specialist at Wayne County Healthy Communities for a brief period in May 2021. Zahra's experience includes a graduate student internship at Henry Ford Health System, where responsibilities encompassed multimedia projects, research writing, and social media management for an infant mortality reduction program. Additional roles include being a member of the School Board of Directors at Star International Academy, and various internships focused on case management and community support with organizations such as The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind. Zahra holds a Master of Public Health from Oakland University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.
