Pete Velez

Pete Velez has a diverse and extensive work experience in the brewing industry. Pete most recently worked as a Key Account Manager at American Canning since March 2022. Prior to that, from July 2015 to March 2022, they served as the Brewmaster at Sibling Revelry Brewing, where they oversaw all aspects of beer production and operations.

Before their role at Sibling Revelry Brewing, Pete worked at Yakima Chief Hops as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager from April 2011 to July 2015. In this role, they developed and implemented a sales strategy to increase market share and generate new business. Pete also expanded the regional footprint by building strong relationships, resulting in annual sales of over $30 million.

Pete also has experience as a Brewery Consultant, working as a self-employed professional from July 2010 to July 2015. Pete provided consultation services to breweries during this period.

Prior to that, Pete served as the Head Brewer at Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant from January 2008 to August 2010. Pete managed all aspects of brewing operations and received awards for their flagship beer.

Pete also held positions at Capitol City Brewing Company, where they were the Head Brewer from June 2004 to April 2007, and Manager from September 2002 to September 2003.

Pete's earlier work experience includes a managerial role at Virginia Beverage Company from September 2001 to September 2002, and the position of Operations Manager at Cylab Inc. from 1999 to 2001.

Pete Velez completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from St. Bonaventure University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Later on, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Brewing and Distilling from Heriot-Watt University in the year 2003 to 2004.
