Patricia B. Readinger

Appointed in April 2019, Patricia Readinger leads the State of Michigan’s Washington, D.C. Office and serves as Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s liaison before federal audiences in the U.S. Congress, Administration, and international community. Previously, Ms. Readinger served in the Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation as a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional Affairs to both Secretaries Anthony Foxx and Ray LaHood. Her career in public service also includes over a decade in the U.S. Senate, where she served as a Senior Policy Advisor on domestic policy issues to U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow. Prior to joining the Whitmer Administration, she worked in the energy and transportation sectors managing federal government affairs and public policy for Electrify America, LLC, an electric vehicle charging infrastructure company. Named one of Michigan State University’s Most Outstanding Seniors, Ms. Readinger received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Pre-Law from the University in 1995. A Bryce Harlow Fellow, she received her Master of Arts in Political Management in 1998 from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
