Chris Aurand, PhD, currently serves as the Open Innovation Leader at Thai Union Group PCL and co-chairs the Food & Beverage Council at the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand since January 2023. Previous roles include Senior Expert in Innovation Sourcing at Mitr Phol Group and Graduate Research Assistant at Cornell University, where research focused on bioengineered chimeric proteins for detecting inflammation markers. Aurand’s extensive research background includes internships at the National Space Biomedical Research Institute, University of Guelph, and Sorrento Lactalis, contributing to various food science advancements. Academic credentials include a PhD in Food Science from Cornell University and a B.Sc. in Food Science from the University of Guelph.
