CM Tokë Vandervoort is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at the American Chemical Society since March 2024. Previously, Vandervoort was Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at the Environmental Defense Fund, where responsibilities included developing an extensive Legal, Ethics & Compliance program and supporting the organization’s global climate advocacy mission. Prior roles include Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Under Armour, leading a large legal team focused on commercial and digital operations, and positions at XO Communications as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, MCI Communications as Senior Counsel, and Burns, Figa & Will, P.C. as Associate. Vandervoort began a legal career as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court, District of Colorado. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, participation in the Corporate Executive Leadership Development Program at the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Philosophy from Louisiana Tech University.
