Katerina Barcal

Katerina Barcal has a strong background in administration, with experience in various organizations. Katerina currently holds the position of Director of Administration at the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), where they are responsible for overseeing administrative operations. Prior to this role, they served as the Governance Manager at Executive Administration, Inc. (EAI), implementing a new governance structure for the ACAAI. Before joining EAI, Katerina worked as the Department Manager of Program Development at Lions Clubs International, where they focused on developing resources and fostering partnerships for community service. Katerina also has experience in higher education, having served as the Graduate Education Coordinator for the Maternal & Child Health Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and as the Manager of International Research & Training Programs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In these roles, they played a key role in developing processes, ensuring compliance, and overseeing operations.

Katerina Barcal completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Pre-Medicine and Biology at Augustana College from 1995 to 1999. Continuing their education, they pursued a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in International Health and Epidemiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1999 to 2001.
