Madhu Vennikandam possesses extensive experience in the field of gastroenterology, currently serving on the FDA-Related Matters Committee and as a scholar in the Emerging Leaders Program at the American College of Gastroenterology since July 2021. In addition, Madhu contributes to ABC News as a Medical Contributor and holds a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Sparrow Health System. Involvement in mentorship is evident through participation in the Mentorship Committee of the AKMG Association of Kerala Medical Graduates. Previously, Madhu has been active in the Member Engagement Committee of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and completed fellowships in Advanced Transplant Hepatology at both Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine. Prior training includes a residency at Cook County Health and Hospitals System. Educational background includes degrees from the University of Kerala and Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.
