Dean Hommer

Dean Hommer is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Hommer holds the FACHE designation and actively participates in various roles within the American College of Healthcare Executives, including membership on the Programs, Products and Services Committee and as Chair of the Coastal Bend Local Program Council. Previously, Hommer served as the Market Chief Medical Officer at Corpus Christi Medical Center, overseeing quality and patient safety across multiple hospitals and emergency departments. With a distinguished career in the US Army, Hommer held significant leadership roles, including Chief of Staff at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Chief of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service at Brooke Army Medical Center. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Uniformed Services University, an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a Master's in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan.
