James Shay has extensive experience in the insurance and risk management industry. James started their career in 1994 as the Corporate Risk Manager at Swinerton Builders, where they worked for ten years. In 2005, they joined American Contractors Insurance Group and held various roles, including Risk Management Executive, Director of Risk Management Services, Vice President of Risk Management Services, and President. James is currently serving as the President and CEO of American Contractors Insurance Group.
James Shay completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing from San Francisco State University from 1983 to 1988. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including the Associate in Risk Management - Enterprise (ARM-E) from The Institutes in 2016 and the California Workers Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certifications, though the years of completion for the latter two are not specified.
