Rodney Bivens

Rodney Bivens has extensive experience in correctional facility oversight and compliance, currently serving as an Independent PREA Auditor for the Department of Justice since August 2013, focusing on compliance with the Prisoner Rape Elimination Act standards. Bivens has been actively involved with the American Correctional Association since May 2008, participating as a Delegate Assembly member and serving as Audit Chairman, where responsibilities include supervising audit teams nationwide. Additionally, since May 1986, Bivens has held the position of Director of Corrections and Personnel at the Sheriff's Office in East Tennessee, managing three correctional facilities and overseeing critical HR functions. Bivens is POST certified in law enforcement from TLETA, completing the program in 1989.
