Amanda Dewey

Amanda Dewey is an experienced professional currently working as a Local Policy Research Manager at The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy. Amanda also serves as a Board Member at Dazzle Africa and has previously held roles as Mayor of the Town of Berwyn Heights, Councilmember for the Town, and Board Chair at the Endangered Species Coalition. Amanda has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Maryland and has conducted research in environmental sociology with a focus on social psychology, wildlife issues, and environmental movements. Amanda has also worked as a Graduate Instructor, Research Assistant, and Special Projects Coordinator in various organizations.
