Creighton Barnes

Creighton Barnes serves as the Corporate Technology + Compliance Leader at HED since July 2024 and has been actively involved with the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) on the National IT Forum Committee since September 2018. Previously, Creighton held leadership roles at the Hampton Roads Chamber, including positions on the Chesapeake Board and Executive Board, from March 2019 to August 2024. At Clark Nexsen from January 2008 to August 2024, Creighton served as Director of Information Technology and Associate Principal, overseeing the IT Department for a substantial Architecture and Engineering firm. Earlier experience includes roles as Sr. System Administrator at Clark Nexsen, Membership Chair for the CBDX Board of Directors, Network Engineer at SHOSHIN TECHNOLOGIES, INC., and diverse positions in technology from 1989 to 2004. Creighton holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems from Strome College of Business, earned between 2000 and 2004.
