Cammie Jones has a diverse work experience in the field of education and community engagement. Cammie currently serves as the Director of Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement at the American Council on Education. Prior to this, they founded their own consulting company, J. Jones Consulting, LLC, where they provided support to colleges, universities, and nonprofits in establishing and advancing civic and community engagement strategies. Cammie has also held various roles at Bard College, including OSUN/Bard CCE Senior Fellow and Associate Dean of Experiential Learning, Civic Engagement, and Director of ELAS Program. Jones has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Open Society University Network and as a Consultant/Director of Strategic Initiatives at Partners for Campus Community Engagement. Earlier in their career, they served as a Community Based Learning Coordinator at Dutchess Community College, and as a Prevention Coordinator at Grace Smith House Inc. Cammie began their career as an Assistant Director of Student Athlete Enhancement at Marist College, where they advised athletic programs and monitored academic progress and eligibility status.

Cammie Jones completed their Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master's of Arts degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University, which they obtained between 2008 and 2010.
