Dawn Light

Dawn Light has a strong background in higher education and military programs. Dawn started their career in 2000 as an Academic Counselor at Navy College in Sigonella. In 2001, they moved on to become a Project Director at Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges. Dawn held this position for 10 years before joining the American Council on Education in 2012 as an Associate Director for Military Programs. In 2020, they transitioned into the role of Associate Director for Business Intelligence and Technology at the same organization.

Dawn Light earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish and Psychology from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Dawn later pursued a Master of Education (M Ed) degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of Oklahoma from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, Dawn has obtained several certifications related to data analysis and visualization. In March 2021, they completed the "Power BI Essential Training" course offered by LinkedIn. Dawn then obtained certifications from Skillsoft in different aspects of Power BI, including "Loading & Transforming Data in Power BI" in October 2022, "An Overview of Data Modeling in Power BI" in August 2022, "Using Power BI for Data Analysis" in May 2023, and "Understanding Data Visualization" in June 2023.
