Chris Smith C.E.C. is a nationally recognized healthy cooking and motivational speaker with a focus on promoting overall healthy lifestyles. Since January 1995, Chris has served as a speaker for The Diabetic Chef®, demonstrating culinary practices that encourage healthier eating choices for families. Chris is also an accomplished cookbook author, with "The Diabetic Chef®’s Year Round Cookbook" published in July 2008, and has contributed articles and recipes to various publications, including "Diabetic Living Magazine." Chris has held significant culinary leadership roles, including Culinary Director for Sodexo Healthcare Services and Executive Chef at Atrium Health. Additional experience includes guest chef appearances and involvement in clinical research addressing food's impact on diabetes. Chris's educational background includes an Associate in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America and an Associate of Science from the University of South Carolina.
